Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of AGLC4 Citation Manager ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
AGLC4 Citation Manager is a Microsoft Word add-in that helps users format legal citations according to the Australian Guide to Legal Citation, 4th Edition. The Service uses artificial intelligence to assist with citation parsing and formatting.
2. Accounts
You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. We use passwordless authentication — a code is sent to your email each time you sign in.
3. Subscriptions and Billing
- New accounts receive a 30-day trial for $1 AUD, charged at signup.
- After the trial, continued access requires a subscription at $10 AUD per month.
- Subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically.
- You can cancel at any time through the billing portal inside the app.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your payment information.
4. Usage Limits
Each subscription includes 200 AI-assisted parses per calendar month. Usage resets on the first of each month. Manual citation entry and bibliography generation are unlimited.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Share your account credentials with others
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits or access controls
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Reverse engineer or resell the Service
6. Accuracy
While the Service aims to produce accurate AGLC4-compliant citations, you are responsible for verifying all citations before submission. AI-generated output may contain errors. We do not accept liability for citation errors in submitted work.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service and its underlying code are proprietary. Your citation data remains yours. We do not claim ownership of content you create using the Service.
8. Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or due to factors outside our control.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AGLC4 Citation Manager is provided "as is" without warranty. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email of material changes. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
