Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information AGLC4 Citation Manager collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information. We take your privacy seriously and collect only what is necessary to provide the Service.

We do not collect your citation content. Citations are stored locally in your browser's localStorage and never transmitted to our servers except as part of AI processing requests.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate you and maintain your session
- To manage your subscription and process payments
- To enforce monthly usage limits
- To send transactional emails (sign-in codes, subscription receipts)
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party providers to deliver the Service:
- Supabase — authentication and database (supabase.com)
- Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com)
- Anthropic — AI citation parsing (anthropic.com). Citation text you submit for parsing is sent to Anthropic's API and subject to their privacy policy.
- Netlify — hosting and serverless functions (netlify.com)
4. Data Retention
Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is removed within 30 days. Usage logs are retained for 12 months for billing purposes.
5. Security
We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), passwordless authentication, and row-level security on our database. We do not store passwords.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Withdraw consent at any time by cancelling your subscription

7. Cookies
We use only essential cookies required for authentication (session tokens). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
8. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
